Every record stays exactly as it was written. And you can prove it.
Every patrol, clock-in, report and note becomes a link in a digital chain. If someone changes a record after it was made, even just a time, the chain breaks at that point and it shows straight away.
Like a logbook with numbered, bound pages
You cannot tear a page out of a bound logbook without it showing. The Safety Chain does the same with data: every record gets a unique digital fingerprint, and every fingerprint contains the previous one. Change one piece of data and the fingerprint no longer matches.
- It works on its own: operators work as usual, with nothing extra to do
- Corrections are still possible, but they become a new step: who, when and what it was before
- All the history that already existed has been sealed too
- The chain holds only fingerprints and numbers, never names or personal data
From the field to proof, in four steps
No installation and no extra devices: it all happens inside ePatrol.
It is recorded
The operator reads the tag, clocks in, opens a report or writes a note. Just as always.
It is linked
Within seconds the record becomes a link with its own digital fingerprint, tied to the link before.
It is checked
From the console the company, and the client on its own sites, checks whenever it likes that nothing has been touched.
It is proven
Every PDF report carries a code and a QR code: whoever receives it checks on their own, on a public page, that the file is the original.
When someone doubts your records, you have the answer
Client disputes
“The 3 a.m. patrol wasn't done.” You show the record and the check proving it was not changed afterwards.
Inspections and incidents
After an event, in front of the fire brigade, health authorities or insurers, patrol and inspection records carry an extra guarantee.
Public tenders
A control system with tamper-proof data the contracting authority can verify is a strong argument in the technical proposal.
Protecting your staff
What the operator did stays as it is: nobody can change it behind their back, not even in the office.
The difference, in practice
Paper logbook or Excel sheet
- A time can be fixed with a pen or a click
- No trace of who changed what
- When in doubt it is one word against another
With ePatrol's Safety Chain
- Every change is a new step, with name and time
- A secret edit breaks the chain and shows
- Even someone who does not trust you can run the check
A guarantee that works on its own
What it proves, and what it doesn't
The Safety Chain proves that a record has not been changed after it was made. It does not prove that what was recorded is true: that remains the responsibility of whoever performs the service. That honesty is exactly what makes it credible.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Safety Chain?
It is the ePatrol feature that protects service data against later changes. Every operation and every field event becomes a link in a chain of digital fingerprints: if a record is changed afterwards, the chain breaks and the check shows it.
If an operator makes a typo, can it still be corrected?
Yes. The correction is made from the console by someone with permission, and becomes a new link recording who made it and when. The original text is not deleted: it stays visible next to the corrected one.
Who can check that the data is intact?
The company from the console, the client on its own sites, and anyone who receives a PDF report, by scanning the QR code. For those who want to do it themselves there is also an independent verification tool, which redoes the maths without going through our servers.
What about privacy? Can a person's data still be deleted?
Yes. The chain holds only fingerprints and numbers, never names or content. When the data of a person or a contract is deleted, the chain only records that it was deleted, and stays intact.
Do I need to install anything or change how we work?
No. It works on its own inside ePatrol: operators use the app as usual and the office uses the console as usual.
Does the check prove the patrol was really carried out?
It proves the patrol record was not changed afterwards. That the patrol was done is shown by the data itself: the tag read on site, the time and the phone's position.
Shall we see together how it can help you?
We'll show you ePatrol on your own sites and patrols, with no commitment.
