How the ePatrol app handles your data

Version of 2 October 2026

This notice covers the ePatrol app for iPhone and Android and the web console. It is the same notice every user sees inside ePatrol at first sign-in. The app is developed by Revolution di Alessandro Fantarella.

This is a translation provided for convenience. The Italian version is the reference text.

Who does what

  • The company that gave you access (your employer, or the company you work or carry out maintenance for) is the controller of your data in ePatrol: it decides which data to collect, for what purposes and for how long to keep it. For any question or request about your data, contact that company first.
  • Revolution di Alessandro Fantarella (Ragusa, Italy, VAT 01777460880), which develops and operates ePatrol, processes your data only on behalf of the company, to make the service work. Revolution does not extract, sell or disclose your data, does not use it for advertising and does not look at it in day-to-day work.

Which data, and why

DataWhy it is needed
First name, last name, email, mobile number, role, staff numberTo let you sign in and let the company know who you are and how to reach you.
Your photoTo let the office recognise you and to show it on your badge. It is not used for facial recognition.
Start and end of duty (clocking)To record your attendance, on behalf of the company.
Patrols, checkpoint readings, notes, reports and photos taken on dutyTo document the work carried out at the site.
The phone's locationOnly at the moment you carry out a duty operation: you read a checkpoint, clock in or out, send a report or a note. Only with the app open: there is no continuous tracking, and the app cannot read the location when it is closed or in the background. Never off duty.
Phone model, app version, whether the phone is yours or a work phoneTo make the app work and understand problems. On a work phone also its number, to call the site.
Sign-ins, IP address, verification codesTo protect your account.

What ePatrol does not do on your phone: it does not read contacts, messages, calls, other apps or the photos in your gallery (only the one you choose). The fingerprint or face you use to unlock the app stays on the phone and never reaches anyone. If the phone is your own, the app collects nothing when you are off duty. The app contains no advertising and does not track users for advertising purposes.

Who sees your data

The people in your company to whom the company has given permission (for example the office, the contract manager) and, if the company so decides, the client's contacts for the site's data. Revolution accesses it only when the company asks for support. The servers are in the European Union. For some technical services (for example phone notifications, number verification by SMS, sending of emails) Revolution uses specialised providers, bound by the same confidentiality obligations; some may process data outside the European Union, always with the safeguards required by law. The list is available by writing to info@epatrol.app.

For how long

The company decides. When the company stops using ePatrol, the data is deleted within the time set by its contract with Revolution.

How it is protected

Communications between the app, the console and the servers are encrypted. Access is personal and each person sees only what their role allows.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it or restrict its use in the cases provided by law (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by contacting your company. If you write to Revolution (info@epatrol.app), we will forward your request to the company. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

How to request deletion of your account and data

  1. Ask your company (the office that gave you access): it can delete your account from the console.
  2. Or write to info@epatrol.app from your account's email address, stating your first name, last name and company: we forward the request to the company and confirm the outcome to you.
  3. A deleted account is permanently erased, together with the personal data and files linked to it (photos, documents), after 60 days, during which the request can be cancelled.

Service data documenting the work carried out (for example patrols and clocking records) may be kept by the company for as long as required by legal and contractual obligations.

What does not concern Revolution

Revolution does not know your employment contract or the agreements between you and the company, and remains outside any matter between you and the company. Decisions taken on the basis of ePatrol data (attendance, hours, pay) are the company's.
